Maite Bermúdez

Screenwriter, filmmaker and producer. â€¨She has a BA in Audiovisual Communication and Film History, an MA in Film and TV Screenwriting and over 20 years of experience in the audiovisual world. Her films and installations cross-pollinate between fiction, documentary, contemporary art and dance, and have been exhibited at the places such as Centre Pompidou (Paris), Muffatwerk (Munich), Cinedans (Amsterdam), The Female Eye Film Festival(Toronto), FID Marseille, Mar del Plata(FIAFP), The Dance Camera West Dance Film Festival (Los Angeles), Huarte Contemporary Arte Center (Navarra) Donostia/ San Sebastian capital of culture 2016 (San Sebastián).

 

She also formed part of the selection committee at Punto de Vista International Film Festival, Pamplona (2008-2013) and Zinetika Dance Film Festival (2018-2019).

Bertha Bermúdez

Dedicated to the transmission, creation and documentation of dance. Early in her career, she danced in the Frankfurt Ballet with William Forsyth (1993- 1996) and the National Dance Company in Madrid with Nacho Duato (1996-1998). As a freelancer, she danced with Rui Horta and Paul Solving Norton and then finally joined the company Emio Greco | PC until 2014, working as a dancer, assistant and researcher at ICKamsterdam.

Since 2014, Bertha has been committed to the cultural diffusion and development of dance, focusing on the documentation of creative processes.

Since 2016, she has been collaborating with the company Dantzaz, where she coordinates the creative residency project ATALAK, accompanying diverse artists and developing protocols for documentation and dance preservation.
